Program Learning Outcomes


  • Critical thinking: Independently critique advertising briefs, creative work and communication strategies

Two courses (8 units) can be shared and counted (so, double count) toward both a student’s Advertising major and any other declared major. 

One course (4 units) can be shared and counted (so, double count) toward a student’s Advertising major and any other declared minor.

* Prerequisite: minimum grade of C-­ in ADVT 201.

** Prerequisite: minimum grade of C- in ADVT 202.

*** Restricted to junior and senior Advertising majors. ADVT 400 prerequisite: minimum grade of D- in ADVT 202, and must have completed at least one elective. ADVT 401 & 402 prerequisite: minimum grade of C- in ADVT 400 and at least two electives. 

**** Restricted to junior and senior Advertising majors. ADVT 411 prerequisite: minimum grade of C- in ADVT 202, and must have completed at least two electives. ADVT 412 prerequisite: minimum grade of D in ADVT 411.
