UX/UI Minor

The UX/UI minor provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practice of UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) design for digital platforms, including the history, theory, and practice of user research and human-computer interaction. Through hands-on project work, students develop successful interactive digital products and online services through the process of research, design, prototyping, implementation, and evaluation.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will:
- Research: Synthesize research to critically inform UX/UI design decisions, taking into account both the history and current state of technology in society
- Prototype: Produce effective design projects with consideration for industry standard UX/UI concepts and the essential responsibilities of a UX/UI designer
- Iterate: Refine UX/UI design projects in response to both user and peer feedback
