The Master of Public Health in Community and Public Health Practice (MPH-CPHP)/Doctor of Nursing Practice-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (DNP- PMHNP), otherwise referred to as the MPH-DNP(PMHNP) dual degree program, prepares advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) who are also prepared as population health leaders. The MPH/DNP-PMHNP Dual Degree builds upon the MPH-Community and Public Health Practice (CPHP) concentration core curriculum focused on community-engaged population health and social justice. Students in this program integrate the MPH core coursework with DNP core coursework into a curriculum that provides exposure to a wide variety of interprofessional experts in population health. Students complete an MPH-CPHP capstone project that provides the foundation for the DNP culminating project. Students graduate as psychiatric mental health clinician scholars prepared for a wide variety of career opportunities.
