Professional Communication, Technical Communication Concentration, MA

The Master of Arts in Professional Communication (MAPC) provides the knowledge and training for superior oral, written, and visual communication skills. Our program is designed for people who seek the techniques and knowledge required to be communication specialists in a wide range of fields in an ever-shifting 21st century workplace.

Major Requirements (32 units)


Students are required to complete 16 units of core courses, 12 units of concentration courses, and 4 units of electives.

Technical Communication Concentration (16 units)


Students choose three classes within their concentration. Note: students may count PC 606 - Rhetoric Seminar  and PC 694 - Internship  toward their concentration provided these courses fit the concentration.

Electives (4 units)


4 units of non-core courses that have not been counted toward the concentration.
