This program highlights the Asian Pacific American legacy of struggle and their ongoing contributions to American culture and democracy. Our interdisciplinary courses come from history, sociology, psychology, literature, philosophy, communication studies, and theology and religious studies, among others. The program also supports co-curricular internships and community engaged learning courses that will provide access to numerous Asian Pacific American organizations in the region.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will:
- Comparatively analyze social, economic, and political forces shaping the historical and contemporary experiences of APA communities
- Effectively communicate about and engage in APA issues in diverse settings (e.g., academic, personal, and professional communities)
Minor Requirements (20 units)
Full Coverage Electives (16 units)
Choose any four of the following Full Coverage Electives. Students may also petition to allow courses focused on Asian American, Pacific Islander, or Asian content, such as First Year Seminars, Special Topics courses, and Capstone courses, for this full coverage requirement
Partial Coverage Electives (4 units)
Choose 4 units from the following Partial Coverage Electives or with the MAM1 course attribute. Students may also petition to allow courses related to Asian American, Pacific Islander, or Asian content for this partial coverage requirement. |
