Investment Minor

The McLaren School of Management offers seven minors for students in non-business majors.

The minors are reflected on students’ transcripts, and require a letter grade and a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the minor. Students interested in a Business minor should consult with their adviser to declare the minor and to review the specific course requirements and necessary prerequisites for the courses.

The minor will provide the essentials for students wanting to gain knowledge in the area of investing and saving, as well as a stepping stone to more advanced skills in investing. Some of the courses will include advanced valuation of securities, learning to program and work with data to complete professional applied investing projects, understand the holes in investing through behavioral and institutional behavior, and creative thinking in investments.
