Program Learning Outcomes
Students will: - Think logically and analyze information critically in a mathematical setting
- Reformulate and solve problems in an abstract framework
- Express mathematical results verbally, working individually and in collaborative groups
- Use appropriate technology to facilitate an understanding of mathematical concepts, but without substituting technology for mathematical thought
Major Requirements (50 units)
All courses require a minimum grade of C-. Required courses may be attempted only twice, or three times if one attempt resulted in a withdrawal. Required Lower Division Courses (20 units)
Required Upper Division Courses (10 units)
Required Computational Course (4 units)
Complete one of the following: Electives (16 units)
Students are required to complete a minimum of 4 units of Classical Electives and 4 units of Applied Electives. The remaining 8 units of coursework can be completed in any area listed below. Classical Elective (4 units)
Complete at least one of the following: Applied Elective (4 units)
Complete at least one of the following: Other Electives (8 units)
