UXUI 210 - Intro to UX Research & Testing Unit(s): 4
This course teaches the fundamentals of user experience (UX) research and testing–concepts that enable the design of useful, effective, and efficient technologies and systems. Students will investigate practical and theoretical methods for both (1) user research–gaining a deeper understanding of users’ needs and behaviors; and (2) usability testing–finding unexpected issues in a product and making recommendations for user-centered design. In turn, students will learn how to analyze results, create usability personas, and ethically and effectively present findings. Students will be required to complete readings and participate in class discussions as well as spend time conducting research and testing in the field and/or online.
