BUS 495 - Honors: Principles of Finance Unit(s): 4
This is an honors introductory course in finance. In our lectures, we will bridge the gap between theory and practice by applying what we learn to “real world” examples presented in Professors notes, in the text, and in your assigned homework. Core topics covered will include the time value of money, the relationship between risk and return, the financial environment, financial statements, stock and bond valuation, capital budgeting, and advanced concepts related to current topics in financial markets.
Prerequisite: (ECON 101 with a minimum grade of D- or ECON 111 with a minimum grade of D-) and (ECON 102 with a minimum grade of D- or ECON 112 with a minimum grade of D-) and MATH 106 with a minimum grade of D- or BUS 201 with a minimum grade of D-) Restriction: Attribute restricted to Honors (Business) School of Management
