BUS 439 - Special Topic: Finance

Study of selected finance topics. Subject matter will vary with instructor. Offered intermittently. Elective for Finance Major. Minimum GPA 3.5. Intersession 2025: BUS 439 Special Topic: Comparative Public Policy and Lessons Drawing (An Academic Global Immersion course) This global immersion course will introduce students to comparative public policy and lesson drawing and engage them in drawing lessons from Singapore during our visit. Students will develop a foundation for proposing policy programs addressing the economic, social, and environmental challenges afflicting their cities, states, and countries. Students will also learn about Singapore’s history and experience its rich and fascinating culture and food, integrating cultures and influences from the Malay peninsula and other Asian countries, as well as Europe and America.

Prerequisite: BUS 305 with minimum grade of D- or BUS 495
