UXUI 310 - UXUI Design Unit(s): 4
This course will provide a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practice of UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) design for digital platforms. In this hands-on course, students will see their design projects through a process of research, design, prototyping, implementation, and evaluation for the purpose of creating successful interactive digital products and online services that are accessible for all users. Students will be encouraged to think creatively and critically about interfaces of all varieties, and the responsibility of the designer when creating the interactive layer between the user and the experience. Coursework will draw from both analog and digital examples, and will utilize drawing, color theory, typography, and the use of computer software.
