PHIL 260 - Latin American Philosophy Unit(s): 4
This course introduces students to the major figures and movements in the five hundred year history of philosophical production in Latin America. Along the way, we examine many of the major themes in Latin American philosophy: human nature, race and personal identity, knowledge, freedom, liberation, colonialism, and perhaps most significantly, what it means to do philosophy.
