BSPH 235 - Health Policy and Equity Unit(s): 4
Health policy can be defined as the ways in which various agencies and branches of government play a role in advancing population health outcomes, and the provision of preventive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare services. This course addresses how policy addresses healthcare accessibility, cost, and quality, with special attention to health equity and addressing health disparities. Legal, ethical, economic, and regulatory dimensions of healthcare and public health policy will be covered.
