HIST 369 - U.S. LGBTQIA+ History Unit(s): UG
This course delves into the everyday experiences, cultures, and histories of the LGBTQIA+ community in the United States. Through archival records, oral histories, literature, documentaries, and popular culture, students explore how LGBTQIA+ peoples have fought for recognition, representation, rights, and a space in American society. We also discuss how ideas, perceptions, identities, terminology, and lived experiences have changed over time and why these shifts occurred.
