MPH 671-A - Health Education & Promotion: Lab - A Unit(s): 1
In this course students will gain practical and hands-on experiences in health education and promotion for individuals and communities, including underserved or marginalized populations. Students will build on partnerships with community members and stakeholders to plan and deliver training, curriculum, and interventions using face-to-face and technology-supported health education and promotion strategies. Students will plan and conduct marketing and social media campaigns, workshops and presentations, one-on-one health education coaching, and other wellness activities. Collaboration, partnerships, project management, cultural competency, personal values clarification, teamwork, and technology integration will be emphasized. Through this course, all students will have completed twenty-five hours of Applied Practice Experience (APEX) during the semester.
Prerequisite: MPH 670 with a minimum grade of B- Restriction: College restricted to School of Nursing and Health Professions School of Nursing and Health Professions
