BAM 312 - Crisis Management Unit(s): 2
Organizational crises have become expected for for-profits, nonprofits, and government agencies alike. Crises can occur as the result of intentional behaviors or accidents, internal employees or external stakeholders. Predicting crises is nearly impossible, but understanding they will continue and likely grow in frequency given the viral nature of crises portrayed on social media is vital to their management. The planning efforts that go into a crisis before it occurs are as important as how the crisis is managed. Surviving and resolving crises requires preparation. Management is challenged to provide crisis related leadership. This course outlines crisis management strategies and leadership strengths that must be developed to resolve crises that impact organizations from all sectors.
