CS 531 - Scientific Computation Unit(s): 4
A broad introduction to scientific computation and machine learning. Topics include discrete Fourier transform, relaxation method, regression, classification, linear and non-linear dimensionality reduction. Students complete a final project using machine learning techniques.
Prerequisite: MATH 501 with a minimum grade of B- and CS 514 with a minimum grade of B- Corequisite: CS-531L College of Arts and Sciences
