PSYD 797A - Summer Practicum Unit(s): 1
This course, designed to support students in their first year of clinical placements, includes group consultation with peers and instructor regarding clinical work and didactic training in basic culturally sensitive case conceptualization and treatment planning skills which will be more fully established during Practicum 2A and Practicum 2B. Content includes introduction to skills for evidence-based practices for effective and culturally sensitive treatment beginnings. Professional development topics introduce the student to the roles of psychologists within integrated care settings, and collaboration and consultation within community mental health settings.
