PSYD 797B - Summer Practicum Unit(s): 1
This course, designed to support students in clinical placements during the summer semester. This course is a progression of the summer practicum course series and includes group consultation with peers and instructor regarding clinical work and continued didactic training in basic culturally sensitive case conceptualization and treatment planning skills expected during Practicum 2A and Practicum 2B. During the first half of the summer, content emphasizes introduction to evidence-based practices for culturally sensitive treatment termination and, during the second half of the summer, development of skills for evidence-based practices for effective treatment beginnings. Professional development topics continue the focus on the roles of psychologists within integrated care settings, and collaboration and consultation within community mental health settings.
