This course emphasizes how instructional leaders create school cultures that promote collaboration, community and shared responsibility for student learning. Specific methods of communication, problem solving, data based decision-making and professional learning communities are explored throughout the course. Students will identify a targeted group at the school site and work to provide leadership and guidance for teachers, parents and stakeholders in the community to develop and implement strategies to improve the educational experiences of students.
