RHET 315 - Rhetoric of Caring Unit(s): 4
With a firm basis in the elements of rhetoric, critical reading, written argumentation, and library research, this interactive and experiential course pairs students with nonprofit San Francisco area-based agencies to develop students’ knowledge and concern about communities and environments most affected by injustice. The community-engaged experience allows students to examine how course concepts and theories play out in a community setting, develop skills and commitments to participate effectively in civic life, and address community-identified priorities and needs to advance the public good.
Prerequisite: RHET 110 or RHET 110N or RHET 195 with a minimum grade of D- College of Arts and Sciences
