SPAN 222 - Español para Bilingües II Unit(s): 4
Students continue improving their linguistic skills and increase their exposure to academic Spanish. Readings explore health, education, politics, bilingualism, biculturalism and social institutions in Latin America, and introduce students to the literary analysis of Chicanx and Latinx authors. Class discussions, oral presentations and written essays based on the readings serve to expand students vocabulary at formal registers, to broaden the range of topics controlled in written and oral expression and to the selective review of grammar.
