SII 330 - SII Symposium Unit(s): 2
The St. Ignatius Institute symposium offers SII students the opportunity to study a great book or books, an author, idea, or movement in the Western tradition in the context of a small, informal, seminar. Symposia are offered every semester. Their structure, meeting time, and curriculum is determined by the professor. However, symposia emphasize student leadership and participation, direction and input, and encourage professors to utilize educational opportunities off campus including theatre, opera, museum visits, and lectures.
