RHET 202 - Multimedia Rhetoric & the Arts Unit(s): 4
How do rhetorical concepts, theories, and principles manifest in artistic practices? How can rhetoric be a creative and ethical tool for communication in our digital world? This Rhetoric course approaches composition and communication through a range of artistic genres including visual and performing arts, music, film, and architecture. Using a multimodal approach to speaking, writing, and other language forms, students engage in creative and scholarly research projects, curatorial questions, and ways to be in more clear dialog within academic, civic, and professional situations. No prior arts background required.
Prerequisite: RHET 110 or RHET 125 or RHET 130 or RHET 195 or RHET 110N or RHET 1XX or Multimedia Rhetoric & the Arts with a minimum score of 100 College of Arts and Sciences
