PASJ 370 - Art and Incarceration Unit(s): 4
This course is designed for students interested in merging social activism, facilitation skills, and artistic practices in writing, spoken word, theater, dance, and music as tools for social change. The course’s Community Engaged Learning component includes collaborating with individuals impacted by incarceration to develop artistic material that explores systemic oppression while providing space for alliance-building, cross-cultural solidarity, and community dialogue.
