BUS 377 - Nuts and Bolts of Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is booming. Startup companies across the globe are gaining traction, attracting capital and customers. Entrepreneurs are inspiring a transformation that is revitalizing and renewing economies and societies worldwide. As a result of entrepreneurs, new and emerging businesses have created a large proportion of the innovative products and services that have transformed the way we work and live our lives. Social entrepreneurs have established enterprises with the aim of solving social problems or effecting social change. The course will use a combination of lecture, discussion, case analysis and problem-solving, to identify entrepreneurial opportunities and solutions to social, cultural and environmental challenges using the entrepreneurial framework.


Prerequisite: Core A2 Rhetoric and Composition with a minimum grade of D- which may not be taken concurrently
Restriction: Class restrictions exclude Freshman and Senior; Field of study restrictions exclude Entrepreneurship & Innovation Major
