This course is about strategic management, the task of crafting, implementing, executing, and monitoring an organization’s strategy. The emphasis is on the kinds of problems and issues that affect the success of the entire organization. The material covered draws on the evolving body of literature in strategic management and presents the prevailing views and ideas about the manager as the architect and implementer of strategy in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors.
