ENVM 679 - Remote Sensing with GIS Unit(s): 2
Remote sensing facilitates acquisition of relevant information from objects we care about at a distance. For Earth, satellites and planes provide a great vantage for sensors built to track changes in the atmosphere, water, and land. This course introduces students to the theory behind remote sensing, develops GIS skills to process and analyze satellite imagery, and trains students on how to leverage the wealth of remote sensing data to study the environment and support environmental management.
Prerequisite: ENVM 673 Restriction: Level Restricted to Graduate College of Arts and Sciences
