PSYD 751 - Telemental Health Practice

Telemental health is a modality of service provision that is becoming increasingly common and necessary in clinical psychology. In this course, students will consider advantages and challenges of telemental health services for diverse individuals and communities and will review research on patient outcomes and provider and patient satisfaction. Students will evaluate the growing evidence base for telemental health delivery and engage in exercises designed to increase their comfort and competence in providing telemental health services. Current guidelines for ethical telemental health practice and regulatory considerations will also be emphasized.


Prerequisite: PSYD 722
