PSYD 719 - Clinical Dissertation Prep

This is a 3-unit course designed to orient PsyD students to the task of selecting, developing, and implementing a clinical dissertation. Course presentations, readings, and discussions will examine the fundamental components of producing an original piece of empirical research as partial fulfillment of the requirements of the PsyD program in clinical psychology. Students will review best practices in topic selection and defining research aims, learn how to establish research networks, select committee members, and understand the functional components of literature review, methods, data collection, analytic plan, and writing of the dissertation.
