BIOL 367 - Disease, Physiology and Immuno Unit(s): 4
Disease, Physiology, and Immunology is physiology for biologists. While cancer and infectious diseases are usually quite comprehensible to students with a strong molecular background in biotech, understanding other diseases requires the broader perspective of physiology. This class seeks to deepen student understanding of the function and interplay of tissues, organs and organ systems. Emphasis is placed on understanding the cardiovascular system and related disease states. As immunology is of particular importance in understanding disease, the immune system is also highlighted.
Prerequisite: BIOL 310 with a minimum grade of C and (CHEM 231 or CHEM 236) Restriction: Field of study restricted to Biology Major College of Arts and Sciences
