PSYD 723 - Quantitative Methods in Research Design Unit(s): 3
This course will provide a survey of quantitative research methods with an emphasis on designs commonly applied in behavioral health research (i.e., experimental, quasi-experimental, single subject, and community-based participatory research). Students will gain the necessary skills needed to critically analyze published quantitative and mixed method research designs and apply findings to clinical settings. Students will also gain knowledge on measurement development theories and techniques commonly used in psychological measurement. Ethical considerations for working with diverse populations including culturally sensitive approaches to community engagement will be integrated throughout the course.
