NURS 613 - Intro to Nurse Leader Role

Prerequisite: Student must be enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing degree program. This course examines the AACN Master’s Essentials and clinical nurse leader skill set and differentiates existing roles in nursing practice. Concepts and theories related to role development, implementation, and system’s thinking will be introduced. The historical context of the development of the nurse leadership role and its influence on health care delivery will be analyzed.
