LAW 950 - Wrongful Convictions Unit(s): 3
This seminar examines: 1) the various causes of wrongful prosectuion, conviction, and incarceration of the factually innocent (e.g., eyewitness misidentification, false confessions, perjured testimony, forensic fraud, police and prosecutorial misconduct, ineffective assistance of counsel, etc.); and 2) the various legal and policy solutions for minimizing wrongful conviction in the American criminal justice system.
