The Honors College curriculum develops students’ analytical and critical thinking skills through small seminars that encourage participation - discussion, experiments, presentations, performance and workshop. Students study major figures, works, and ideas from antiquity to the present, with special emphasis on integrated studies in humanities, arts, and sciences. All students in all majors accepted for the Honors College, St. Ignatius Institute, University Scholars, and Black Achievement Success and Engagement Program are encouraged to enroll in the Honors College Curriculum to enhance their experience in the Honors College.

Program Learning Outcomes
- Students articulate at least three major themes of the humanities across disciplines.
- Students explain how social and political concerns influence and intersect multiple disciplines.
- Students compare and contrast at least two different critical methodologies or cultural traditions in a global context.
- Students complete analytical, interpretive, or research-driven essays or projects in writing, speech or performance.
- Students investigate real-world topics or problem from multiple disciplinary perspectives to conduct projects or propose solutions.
Honors College Curriculum (30 Units)
The Honors College curriculum can help students fulfill 24 units out of the 44 units for the Core Curriculum. Students are required to take a 2-unit Honors Forum course that focuses on unique interdisciplinary approaches to real-world topics. Students will complete an Honors capstone project within their senior year.

Students can take any Honors College course for their elective, including courses from the summer Global JumpStart Program:
