NURS 470 - Nursing Leadership Complex Health Care Systems Unit(s): 3
This didactic course prepares students for professional nursing leadership in complex healthcare systems. Through the application of leadership theories, systems thinking, and quality improvement strategies, students will learn to foster collaboration, drive organizational effectiveness, and address challenges in dynamic healthcare environments. The course emphasizes personal and professional growth through evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and organizational awareness while cultivating nursing professional identity. Guided by Jesuit values of ethical leadership and social responsibility, students develop strategies to promote safe, high-quality care that meets the needs of diverse populations and supports long-term system sustainability.
