NURS 380 - Reproductive Health Unit(s): 3
This didactic course explores comprehensive nursing care for women, and infants, emphasizing health promotion and management of reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and neonatal periods. Students integrate evidence-based knowledge with person-centered care principles to support optimal maternal-child health outcomes. Guided by Jesuit values of cura personalis and social justice, the course addresses health equity, cultural sensitivity, and professional accountability in maternal-child nursing practice. Quality and safety frameworks are applied through immersive learning experiences focused on preventive care, risk assessment, and family-centered interventions.
Prerequisite: NURS 323 with a minimum grade of C and NURS 328 with a minimum grade of S and NURS 324 with a minimum grade of S and NURS 326 with a minimum grade of S Corequisite: NURS382, NURS388, NURS381 Restriction: Major Restricted to Nursing; Level restricted to Undergraduate; College restricted to Sch of Nursing and Health Prof School Nursing & Health Professions
