BUS 306 - Business Ethics Unit(s): 4
Drawing on Ignatian pedagogy, students will apply discernment to analyze real-world ethical organizational issues emphasizing cura personalis (care for the whole person) and a commitment to social justice and the common good. The value of ethics in business operates at two distinct levels, namely the moral and the applied. This class strives to advocate not only the application of ethical practice to the realm of business but also to reaffirm the societal value present in doing so. The goal in this course is to empower students to become ethical actors who contribute to a more just and inclusive society. Learning outcomes will focus on three separate levels, namely the theoretical (the origins of ethical theory), the behavioral (the applied of ethics as practice), and the structural (the application of ethics in pursuit of organization goals).
Restriction: Class restricted to Junior, Senior School of Management
