NURS 324 - Data Science for Healthcare

This didactic course explores health data science principles and changing technologies within patient-centered nursing practice. Students develop competencies in analyzing and visualizing healthcare data to inform clinical decisions and improve population health outcomes. Guided by Jesuit values and ethical principles, learners examine data through a holistic lens, addressing bias and health disparities across diverse populations. The course emphasizes quality metrics and safety indicators while developing critical skills in data interpretation for evidence-based nursing practice.


Prerequisite: NURS 271 with a minimum grade of C and NURS 273 with a minimum grade of C and NURS 274 with a minimum grade of C and NURS 275 with a minimum grade of S
