BFIN 434 - Student Managed Fund Unit(s): 4
The Student Managed Fund gives students at the University of San Francisco the opportunity to manage real money in financial markets, bridging the gap between financial theory and real-world applications. The purpose of the fund is to enrich the education of business students through a “hands on” approach and to beat market performance measured by Standard and Poors 500 Index. Students will also engage in extensive readings to develop their intuition and quantitative skills related to the investment process.
Prerequisite: BUS 305 with a minimum grade of D- or BUS 495 with a minimum grade of D- or BUS 326 with a minimum grade of D- or BUS 395 with a minimum grade of D- or BFIN 326 with a minimum grade of D- Restriction: Class restricted to Junior, Senior School of Management
