ENGL 209 - Survey of Women’s Lit Unit(s): 4
This course studies the traditions of women’s literature across history. Through readings from a variety of genres, the course explores how women from diverse ethnic, racial, religious, and class background articulated the female experience. Special attention is paid to womens understanding and representation of creative authority as well as to the historical, cultural, and literary contexts in which writing by women is produced.
