INTD 387P - UTEC SS Fieldwork Practicum

This course, taken concurrently with the lecture course INTD 387, provides a practicum component wherein students are placed within local classrooms with specific mentors for the duration of the semester. Within these placements, students are afforded the opportunity to work with students under the tutelage of an experienced mentor. This field experience allows students to connect theory and practice and to begin developing their skills as reflective practitioners. Students see first-hand how theory from their coursework is implemented practically in schools. Additionally, students are able to further evaluate their choice to enter the teaching profession.
