This course explores the following queries: How do LGBTQIA+ people navigate religious contexts, especially those that have often attempted to negate them? In what ways can religion be queer? In addition to readings and discussion, we meet individuals whose lived experiences are core to understanding why and how queering religion is happening in the Bay Area and beyond.
