POLS 410 - Revolutions Unit(s): 4
This course examines the difficulties and strategies behind changing political regimes and creating power from a position of powerlessness. In order to understand how to change political systems, we examine different theories of revolution. Then we investigate different revolutionary events, insurgencies, and their outcomes to see what works to change power relations. We also look at more recent revolutionary strategies to determine the different ways that meaningful, lasting social and political change can be created.
