THTR 233 - Theatrical Composition Unit(s): 4
This course provides hands-on opportunities to experiment with the four primary ways that artists make compelling theatrical work: playwriting, directing scripted plays, devising or creating original plays, and adaptation of existing stories from other genres. Students also critically analyze writings by key 20th and 21st century theater-makers, and use artistic journaling to track creative process discoveries.
Prerequisite: THTR 110 or THTR 115 Restriction: Field of Study restricted to Perf. Arts & Soc. Justice Major, Theater Minor, Theater Concentration College of Arts and Sciences
