MPH 627 - Advanced Topics Epidemiology Unit(s): 2
This course provides training in advanced epidemiology methods applied to specific, emerging public health topics. Each time the course is offered, it will address one specific epidemiological topic. Examples include infectious disease epidemiology, reproductive and perinatal/pediatric epidemiology, vaccine epidemiology, environmental epidemiology, field epidemiology, and social epidemiology. The course summarizes conceptual and methodological challenges arising in specific fields of epidemiology and study designs and methods used to address such challenges. Students learn practical skills to evaluate the current literature as well as the design of applied epidemiologic studies.
Prerequisite: MPH 621 and MPH 612 Restriction: Level Restricted to Graduate School of Nursing and Health Professions
