This class examines electoral campaigns and grassroots organizing from the perspective of the candidate, staff, the media, interest groups, and citizens. Its objectives are to produce students who can (1) observe American campaigns and voters with an objective perspective that goes beyond their own personal views and the media coverage that most Americans see, and (2) understand and use tools that persuade and move citizens to voter or take some other action.
