PSYD 797D - Summer Practicum Unit(s): 1
This course, designed to support students in clinical placements during the summer semester. This course is a progression of the summer practicum course series and includes group consultation with peers and instructor regarding clinical work and continued didactic training in applications of advanced culturally sensitive case conceptualization and treatment planning skills within specific theoretical approaches expected during Practicum 4A and Practicum 4B. During the first half of the summer, content emphasizes applications, within specialized theoretical orientations, of evidence-based practices for culturally sensitive treatment termination and, during the second half of the summer, advanced applications of evidence-based practices for effective and culturally sensitive treatment beginnings. Professional development topics continue the focus on the transition to internship training, and planning for post-doctoral training, licensure, and career advancement.
Prerequisite: PSYD 750 and PSYD 760 Restriction: College restricted to School of Nursing and Health Professions; Malpractice Insurance-Grad - 25; Field of study restricted to Clinical Psychology, Psychology Major School of Nursing and Health Professions
