NURS 7009 - Foundations of Leadership in Population Health

This course provides advanced nursing practice students with knowledge of organizational and systems leadership components to enhance practice, improve health outcomes, and ensure patient/client safety. The content prepares population health leaders with innovative expertise in assessing organizations, identifying systems’ issues, and facilitating and leading organization-wide changes in practice communities. The course also provides students with an opportunity to develop advanced knowledge and skill in political analysis, systems thinking, and sensitivity to cultural issues to improve practice quality and efficiency.
