This course explores state subject matter standards in the use of technology as a tool to support student learning and teacher productivity. Candidates develop a range of technology skill sets that draw connections between social constructivist learning theories and teacher practice. Promotes the reflective infusion of technology in K-12 California classrooms by investigating the following: 1) wide range of current technology based educational websites, iPhone/Pad or Android educational applications to building electronic portfolios and web pages, and 2) research on diverse needs of K-12 students and how to engage them in meaningful learning experiences.
